Held processing funds are included in a liquidity statement
Keep the held amount visible, but label it with its documented restriction instead of including it in an unexplained figure called available funds. Record the account, currency, observation date and balance status for each amount. A processor balance, funds available for payout and a bank receipt describe different stages. Ask the provider which financial measure and supporting records its application requires before deciding how those stages belong in the requested summary.
For: An owner or authorized representative of a research-only business preparing financial information for a processing application.
Start with the actual field label and its instructions. A request for a balance at a date is not necessarily a request for money immediately accessible in a bank account. If the form uses liquidity or available funds without defining it, preserve that wording and ask what measure the provider wants. Do not silently choose a definition that makes the figure larger.
Prepare a dated breakdown while that question is open. Name the entity, the account using a masked reference, the currency and the time of the balance record. Keep different dates and currencies visible. This establishes what the documents say without making a solvency assessment or deciding what the provider must accept.
Separate each restriction from the amount it affects
Stripe distinguishes pending and available payments balances, a reserve balance and a merchant-set minimum balance. Pending funds normally cannot be withdrawn or spent until they become available. Stripe also describes access to pending funds through Instant Payouts for eligible users and features that can reduce settlement time. Those exceptions do not prove eligibility for this account and are not a way around account restrictions.
Stripe reserve funds cannot be paid out or transferred until the hold period ends. A minimum balance set by the merchant is a different control; do not relabel it as a provider-imposed reserve. Use the actual account notice and settings to explain the amount held under each label. If a document does not establish the release condition, mark that condition unresolved rather than borrowing a date from a general help article.
Avoid counting the same movement as two available balances
A payout schedule controls when Stripe sends available funds; it does not accelerate settlement. Bank posting can take additional time. Therefore a scheduled payout is not evidence that the bank has already received the money, and a general settlement description does not establish when a particular reserve will be released.
Compare the processor balance snapshot, payout reference and bank record at the summary's cutoff. Where records identify the same money moving between systems, show that relationship instead of adding both appearances without explanation. If the records cannot be reconciled to one cutoff, retain the separate observations and name the gap. An arithmetic total does not cure a mismatch in timing or availability.
Correct the representation and retain its evidence
If the draft summary calls all processing funds immediately available, revise the description and retain the original balance evidence. Show which amount is pending, available in the provider account, reserved, subject to a minimum-balance setting or documented as received at the bank. Do not change the original statement or assume those categories all count toward the application measure.
The decision is whether each reported amount has a defensible status and whether the requested measure is understood. If either remains unclear, send the provider the specific question before presenting the combined figure as settled. Prism's processing consultation can help organize that question and the business description; scope, responsibilities, fees and terms are agreed before work. The provider decides what financial evidence it wants.
Funds availability evidence map
Use one copy for each account and currency at the summary's cutoff. Record document locations and masked references, not bank details. A balance with an unresolved restriction remains separately labeled; completing the map does not establish that it qualifies for the provider's requested measure.
Worksheet entries are not submitted by Prism’s worksheet and are not saved by the site. Use record types, availability, anonymized observations, or match/mismatch results. Do not enter government identifiers, customer names or addresses, customer messages, receipt-access links, card or bank details, passwords, or keys. Send sensitive documents only through the provider’s verified secure channel.

Where to look
How to interpret it
Your record
Requested financial measure
Where to lookThe application field, instructions and any written clarification.
How to interpret itKeep its exact meaning and cutoff; an undefined measure needs clarification before a combined figure is presented.
Balance source
Where to lookDated provider statement or bank record, with entity, currency and masked account reference.
How to interpret itA figure from another account, currency or observation date is not automatically comparable.
Pending or available status
Where to lookThe status printed beside the balance at the observation time.
How to interpret itRecord the actual label. General access options do not prove that pending funds are accessible on this account.
Documented reserve
Where to lookReserve notice and matching balance entry.
How to interpret itRetain the held amount and its restriction separately from unrestricted funds; do not invent a release date.
Merchant-set minimum balance
Where to lookThe relevant setting and dated balance record.
How to interpret itKeep this merchant control distinct from a reserve imposed by the provider.
Release condition source
Where to lookThe notice, agreement or account-specific written reply.
How to interpret itCopy the stated condition and any stated date; a condition alone does not establish bank receipt.
Payout and bank overlap
Where to lookMatching payout reference and bank entry, if available.
How to interpret itIdentify a transfer already represented elsewhere; do not add both records as separate funds.
Summary treatment
Where to lookThe revised summary and provider's definition of the requested measure.
How to interpret itExplain inclusion, separate disclosure or an unresolved classification without declaring solvency.

Limits
This is a record-labeling worksheet, not a solvency calculation, accounting certification or determination of acceptable financial evidence.
Stripe balance and payout descriptions apply to Stripe. Another provider's agreement and records must establish its restrictions.
Keep bank records, full account details and private financial documents out of the public consultation form. Technical functionality does not establish processing eligibility.
Stripe balances and settlement — checked 2026-09-29. Distinguishes pending and available payments balances, reserves and merchant-set minimum balances; pending access has eligibility-limited exceptions, and reserves cannot be paid out or transferred until the hold period ends. These rules do not establish this account's release date.
Stripe payouts — checked 2026-09-29. Payouts send available funds; payout scheduling does not accelerate settlement and bank posting can take additional time. A schedule does not establish receipt at the bank.
Prism solutions — checked 2026-09-21. A consultation can help organize a processing question. The provider decides eligibility and what documents it wants; scope, fees and terms are discussed before work.
