Check each research-product listing before a processing discussion

Open each live listing and compare its title, description, images, specifications, and sales claims with the product you sell and with a record you can point to. The Federal Trade Commission says advertising claims must be truthful, not deceptive or unfair, and evidence-based. Stripe says the website's product descriptions must align with what the business told Stripe, and that peptides with no stated purpose are assumed to be for human consumption. A research-use sentence does not correct a conflicting sentence on the same listing. You can correct a contradiction you can see. A provider decides whether it will accept the page, and Prism's review is not that decision.

For: An owner of a research-use-only peptide business who needs to see what each public product listing actually says.

The listing is the page a reviewer can open

A processing discussion uses the public page, not the internal name in a spreadsheet. For each URL, write the title, the description, the image, any specification, and any claim a visitor can see in a banner or a testimonial on that page. If the page is behind a password, Stripe's website article says an activation page has to be accessible without one. A private draft is not the listing under review.

This page is about one listing at a time. It does not map the same phrase across the whole site, and it does not audit a certificate file. Those are different records. A certificate link that the listing does not explain is not, by itself, support for a claim the listing makes.

A claim needs a record, and a conflict remains a conflict

The FTC's advertising guidance says claims in advertisements must be truthful, cannot be deceptive or unfair, and must be evidence-based, and that additional rules may apply to some products. Its health-claims section says businesses must support advertising claims with solid proof, especially for health-related products. This page does not decide that any listing violates that law. It asks you to point at the record for each objective claim, or to mark the claim as unsupported.

Stripe's prohibited-use rule forbids false, manipulated, inaccurate, or misleading information about the nature of the business, and forbids processing for products that were not disclosed. Its website article says the descriptions of the goods or services must align with the information provided to Stripe, and that an incomplete site may not be activated until the products being sold are listed. A listing that shows a different product from the one you sell fails that alignment even if another sentence says research use only.

Stripe's FAQ says peptides sold with no purpose specified are assumed to be sold for human consumption. Leaving the purpose blank is not a neutral description under that sentence. The FAQ also conditions one peptide category on the absence of false or misleading claims. Do not add a use the business does not sell in order to fill the blank, and do not add a research-use sentence to cover a conflicting claim. This page does not explain a human or animal use.

Images and specifications are part of the description

The words are not the whole listing. An image, a file name, a specification, or a testimonial can say something the description does not. Prism's features page says a review looks at how products are named and described and at marketing claims in banners, images, testimonials, and linked content, including statements that conflict with the product description. Record the conflict. Do not resolve it by ignoring the image.

If you cannot find a record for a specification or a claim, the honest status is unresolved. Deleting the claim is a business decision you can make. Replacing it with a different unsupported claim does not fix the listing. Legal advice about a particular claim is for qualified counsel. Prism's FAQ says reviews and guidance are informational and are not legal advice.

What you can correct before the conversation

You can list every live URL, mark each element as supported, conflicting, or unknown, and correct a conflict you control. You can refuse to send a provider a catalog summary that is narrower than these pages. You cannot decide that the corrected page makes the business eligible, and a Prism review does not decide it either.

Prism's features page says the pages and questions are agreed before a review begins, and that findings are not a legal opinion or a compliance certification. The provider determines eligibility and account terms. Whether your evidence meets the FTC's standard for a particular claim, and whether a provider will accept the listing, remain unknown until those parties say so.

Product-listing review

Use one pass per live listing. Write supported, conflicting, or unknown from the page and your records. Do not paste customer information. Worksheet entries are not submitted by this worksheet or saved by this site. Use only non-sensitive summaries; do not enter credentials, government identifiers, card or bank-account numbers, private receipt links, or customer details.

Worksheet entries are not submitted by Prism’s worksheet and are not saved by the site. Use record types, availability, anonymized observations, or match/mismatch results. Do not enter government identifiers, customer names or addresses, customer messages, receipt-access links, card or bank details, passwords, or keys. Send sensitive documents only through the provider’s verified secure channel.

Limits

  • A Prism consultation can help you organize the facts and discuss the website or processing question. The payment provider decides eligibility, pricing, reserves, and whether an account is opened or closed.
  • A research-use sentence does not cure a conflicting representation, and this page does not supply disclaimer text.
  • This page does not audit certificates, map sitewide language, or decide legal compliance.
  • A Prism review is informational. It is not a provider approval or a compliance certificate.
